POWERSCOURT

3 Boutique Apartments in Dublin's City Centre

Powerscourt is an exquisite adaptive reuse development executed by G&V Developments as a part of its own vast portfolio.

As Ireland regained its footing from the debacle of the Celtic Tiger collapse, several incomplete and neglected properties became available on the market. Powerscourt was an existing shell which was purchased, structurally restored and redeveloped as three incomparable modern apartments in the heart of Dublin's City Centre. Each apartment was designed with total attention to detail, and a palette of the best finishing materials and specifications available on the market.

CONSTRUCTION

Initially, when purchased, the building was in imminent risk of collapse as its two levels below ground had filled with rain water. G&V Developments commissioned a full structural survey and completed the initial task of stabilising the four storey structure. The basements were cleared and a comprehensive tanking procedure was instigated, which rendered them available for use.

G&V Developments along with Anthony O'Beirne Architects, applied for and received planning permission to complete the structure with relatively minor alterations. This permitted G&V to move forward with three extraordinary bijou apartments.

The entire construction process, including restoration work was completed in 12 months.
